Multifactorial aspects of antibody‐mediated blood cell destruction

Research interests

Dissection of pathophysiological mechanisms in Transfusion Medicine, with focus on Transfusion-related acute lung injury (TRALI), antibody-mediated hematological disorders including immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT), hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN). Additional interests include immune functions of platelets.

Technologies: experimental mouse models, diverse immunological assays including phagocytosis and respiratory burst assays.
