Title: Exploring and Harnessing Natural Killer Cell Biology for Cancer Therapeutics

Host: Branka Popović

Dr. Chockley is a research associate faculty at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He earned his PhD in Immunology at the University of Michigan studying Natural Killer cell immune surveillance of cancer metastasis. Prior to this position, he served as a guest researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (2010- 2012) studying zebrafish hematopoiesis. He has studied immunology since 2008 and continues to study NK cells. More specifically, he is seeking to determine ways to harness NK cells’ innate anti-tumor properties in order to yield novel therapeutic approaches and optimize donor selections for transplantation.
