Position Overview
As a Junior Valorisation Manager, you will play a key supporting role in helping Sanquinnovate bring Sanquin’s cutting-edge life sciences innovations to market. - Process Invention Disclosure Forms (IDFs) and coordinate with external patent offices to evaluate IP and know-how;
- Support patent filing activities and assist in managing and maintaining Sanquin’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio;
- Draft and coordinate the review of knowledge exploitation contracts (e.g., license agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Material Transfer Agreements (MTA), Research Collaboration Agreements (RCA’s));
- Assist in drafting and reviewing collaboration agreements under national and European subsidy frameworks, and provide guidance on terms and compliance;
- Prepare Statements of Work (SoW) for targeted innovation opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
- Organise and support valorisation-focused events to enhance internal awareness and strengthen collaboration with the Research department;
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Business Development and Valorisation team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, or related field;
- Additional training or experience in IP, contract law, innovation management, or technology transfer is a plus;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus;
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and administrative abilities;
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
- Interest in the intersection of science, innovation, and business.
What we offer
We offer a chance to work at the unique organisation that is Sanquin, a not-for-profit company which attracts like-minded people. The combination of having a societal function and operating at a commercial market is a very interesting challenge.
In addition, we offer you:
- A unique opportunity to contribute to impactful healthcare innovation;
- Hands-on experience in technology transfer and innovation management;
- Competitive compensation, including a 8.33% year-end bonus and 8.33% vacation allowance;
- 201 holiday hours for a full-time (36-hour) workweek;

- Generous travel expense reimbursement, starting from the first kilometer and private parking;
- A €2,000 development budget every 3 years for your professional ambitions;
- Collective agreements with various insurers;
- Pension accrual with the Pension Fund for Care and Welfare. We contribute 65%.
